My Visions of the Future anthologies have been published annually since 2011. They comprise a mixture of flash and short fiction tales, representing my writing over the previous year and including many of the stories that have featured on 365tomorrows and on my deviantART page.

Infinite possibility, infinite potential. We cannot predict our futures, but we can imagine what is to come. From that simple inspiration, Julian M. Miles has spent the last year creating dozens of vistas of what could be, and in this anthology, he shares them with you.

From the haunted snows of the Dyatlov Pass to the furthest reaches of mankind’s colonisation of space, from dystopian tomorrows, to millennia hence, he uses the flash fiction format, interspersed with short fiction pieces, to provide many tales for your entertainment.

'Gammafall' is the 2016 volume of my annual Visions of the Future science fantasy flash and short fiction anthologies. It is the first volume of the Visions of the Future series that is available as a paperback worldwide, via Createspace. This book is also bigger than previous volumes. I decided to do this so the paperback matches the three exclusive paperback collections on Amazon which feature selections of stories from the previous five volumes. (For more details about Lifescapes, Long Way Home and Face Down in Wonderland, click here, then scroll down that page.)

The original cover art is, once again, courtesy of SimonJM.

It is available as a paperback or OpenDyslexic font paperback from Amazon.

The ebook is available for Kindle, for Mac or iOS from iTunes, and for all other devices from Smashwords.

Dynamic, emotional, powerful: these tales of people overcoming old trials in new situations, or discovering ways to cope with new travails. Come and share their lives and adventures for a while.

It is said that the future is infinite, and where we end up can be determined on the turn of fate or the choice of a moment. From riches to ruin via adventure and peril, anything is possible. Dystopias, utopias, successes and failures. Action, insight and emotion colour these tales of people on their journey through lives stranger than ours, and overcoming trials and malice along the way. Do come and join them for a while.

The infinite possibilities for mankind’s future are as diverse as those contemplating them. While it seems that there are more predictions of ruin than utopia, the sheer adaptability and persistence of humanity has always been it’s greatest strength. Taking that as a basis, it can be argued that no matter what happens, mankind will survive and carry on to greater things.

'Come Tomorrow' is the 2013 (third) volume of the Visions of the Future series. It also features 'Eight Below', a long story comprised of eight flash and short fiction parts. Many thanks to TLC Digital Art for letting me use one of her beautiful pieces of art for the cover. All rights to the original remain with her.

There are as many possible futures for mankind as there are people and organisations prepared to spend anywhere from an evening to several years thinking about them. The catastrophes that are predicted for our climate, our financial markets and our freedoms are a feature of our lives. Optimism and hope can also be found in sufficient quantity to counterbalance the forecasts of doom, whilst being sadly under-reported in mainstream media. Be they tales of the end, tales of new beginnings or tales of day-to-day living in places far removed from today, this volume provides a gamut of possibilities for your consideration.

'Tangents' is the 2012 (second) volume of the Visions of the Future series. Three of the flash fiction stories that have been published on 365 Tomorrows are included in this book along with their sequel pieces for the very first time. With thanks to SimonJM for letting me use a piece of his fine artwork for the cover. All rights to the original art remain with him.
